Gix is a small frogfolk and an Elder of the Reef. He is afraid of most things, and spends a lot of time imagining how things can go horribly wrong or how he might get hurt. Despite this, he can be rather brave.

When one of the Reefkin starts to have Memory, it's usually caught early and they are taken away for an education and to be kept safe. Because of his small size, no one noticed Gix had Memory. He didn't tell anyone because he thought being taken away was bad. His paranoia kept him pretending to be Memory-less for a long, long time. The experience left him mistrustful and paranoid about the other Elders.

It also made him one of the toughest Reefkin alive. He's quick-witted, fast-acting, with an active imagination. He can improvise his way out of most trouble. Gix is a survivor.
