Mother Dorga began her life as part of a dark faction: the Duchess Saribeth Rian Dars. She was transformed into a Reefkin matron as a punishment, part of her exile. She was exiled for using some of her own family in a political power play that got them killed -- although it did also achieve victory for the House Rian Dars.

Her tendency to sacrifice her children was much more acceptable, however, to the Reefkin. Mother Dorga found that she fit in better with the Elders of the Reef than she did with her own people. Which is all very well, because before Dorga's exile could be lifted, her own people were slaughtered by the cavern elves.

So, now, she is happily one of the frogfolk for life.
