Coryn was one of the greatest swordmasters in the Emerald Tower, and became the leader of the fighters who went north with Archmage Pendar when he left to establish his new order of mages. Coryn was brave, daring, and in love with life -- but after he was poisoned in a duel, he lost his corporeal form.

In his current form, a specialized ice construct that holds his elven spirit, Coryn is bitter over what he has lost and finds it difficult to relate to the other elves. He longs to be restored to real life, but in the meantime will defend the Azure Tower from all comers.

Although not entirely successful, the fact that Archmage Pendar was able to hold Coryn’s spirit in this world without making him a corrupted undead creature is a step towards the ultimate goal of the Azure Tower: immortality.
