Shun is a great fighter and someone who always seeks to test himself against a bigger, and more insane challenge. He started fighting his peers, but since his prowess far outstripped them, he began fighting monsters. Then bigger monsters.

It was this obsession partly, that led him to attack the first dragon he ever saw -- precipitating first the war with the elves of the cavern and eventually the curse that fell on all of the Waning Moon. On top of everything else, the drastic consequences of the fight have led Shun to keep this -- his greatest fight -- a secret. This creates a certain amount of guilt and rage in Shun, which he generally copes with through more violence.
